Effective Keywords Can Be More Than One Or Two Words Long
One good way to gain targeted traffic to your site is by ranking highly in the search engines for selected keywords.
When one mentions keywords, often one will think it is just one or two keywords that will make up the term or terms people will use to find offers similar to yours. However, this is not always the case.
Often, people will enter phrases to find specific topics and product offers. For instance, if you want to find a flower shop in a specific city, such as New York City, you would likely enter “Flower shops in New York City.”
This is a way you can help differentiate your site from the many other sites that could be catering to your niche. If you can specialize in a specific aspect of that niche, such as catering to a sub-niche of that niche, you could rank higher for that specific phrase, and thereby, gain a lot of targeted traffic that will be interested in your specialized product offer. For instance, if you have a site that caters to “dog care,” you could try to rank higher for the care a specific dog breed, such as “Doberman dog care,” etc.
Additionally, you won’t have to depend on the commonly-used keywords that many other sites are competing for in order to gain targeted traffic from search engine results.
