How to Turn Rabid Customers into Traffic Generators

By jdmunoz On August 5, 2009 No Comments

One of the greatest assets your business can have is a satisfied customer. This is especially true when that satisfied customer comes back again and again and purchases more of your products.

While you appreciate all that business, have you ever considered turning those ardent customers into a means of generating more traffic to your site? Here are a couple of ideas on how you can do just that.

One of the simplest ways to harness the power of your existing customer base is to offer incentives and rewards for referring new customers. A simple referral program is all you need to accomplish this.

For the sake of both your customers and your own peace of mind, keep the program relatively simple and straightforward. What you want to happen is for your customer to recommend your products to friends and relatives, and help to create more sales.

Create a Referral Program

Putting together a working referral program does not have to be complicated. Essentially, you need a mechanism so that you know which new customer was referred by your existing customer.

This can be managed by simply creating a special link that you give to your customer. Whenever anyone uses that link as the portal to your online store, you know which customer to credit with the referral.

Make it easy for your customer to refer new potential customers. Provide them with a solid email text or a brochure saved in PDF format that they can pass on either by forwarding the email or printing out the brochure and passing it on to people of their acquaintance. Just make sure that URL is branded to let you track who made the referral.

A second approach is to invite your best customers to become affiliates. The extension of a personal invitation to your rabid customers may generate some interest where a generic approach would fall on deaf ears.

Point out that there are no charges associated with becoming an affiliate, but there are plenty of benefits. Outline the basics of your affiliate program so that your customer understands how beneficial signing up can be.

The Advantage to Getting Customers to be Affiliates

There are certainly advantages to you if a rabid customer chooses to become an affiliate. First, the customer already knows your product line and has firsthand experience with your products.

That can help to make selling the products a lot easier. Second, there is already rapport established between you and the new affiliate. This rapport can easily be built upon so that the relationship expands to include the new aspects of the relationship.

Look closely at your client list and identify a few rabid customers who you think have potential as affiliates. Taking the time to do this could yield big rewards in a very short period of time.

How to Sweet Talk a Super Affiliate by MMP Marketing Online

By jdmunoz On August 5, 2009 No Comments

Super affiliates are people enrolled in your affiliate program that really know how to produce. These high volume affiliates consistently generate lots of sales and thus bring in a lot of revenue for your business.

It is no wonder that you want to find ways to let them know how much you appreciate their hard work. Here are some things you can do to provide your top producers with additional incentives to keep building on their efforts.

Construct Your Compensation Packages Carefully

First, put together a special tier of compensation that is open only to affiliates who reach a certain level of sales and maintain that level for three or so months.

This special commission structure will provide a slightly higher percentage than your standard commission that any affiliate can claim. Qualifying for this higher tiered commission structure ensures you reward your top affiliates while also providing them with incentive to drive those sales even higher.

A second approach would be to leave your commission structure as is, but add a bonus program to the mix. Again, your super affiliate would have to meet certain sales figures in order to be eligible for the bonus.

You can pay out a flat bonus amount for sales that fall within given perimeters, or offer a one-time additional percentage on all sales generated by the affiliate in the qualifying period.

One of the tools that both you and your affiliates use to make money is landing pages. The landing page is simply a web page that provides the ideal way to make the case for buying a product and making it easy for a consumer to do so.

If you have an affiliate who is a whiz with landing pages, recognize that and offer additional incentives for launching more landing pages or coming up with landing page designs that really reel in the prospects.

Many of your affiliates go about creating their own roster of loyal customers who come back and purchase products over and over. You can help grow this repeat business, and make more sales for your business by offering your super affiliate a discount program that can be in turn offered to those customers.

The discount may be based on the number of units purchased, or include the ability to buy one product at regular price and purchase a second product of equal or lesser value for a discount. Since everybody likes to save money, this can be a great approach for both you and your super affiliate.

Offer Bonuses for Your Customers

Offering some additional services or free products especially for the customers of super affiliates can also help generate additional sales. Provide your super affiliate with the authorization to extend a free product, ten free hours of technical support, or some other service that the customer would normally have to pay for. Both the customers and the affiliate will be able to make good use of this type of extra perk.

Because your super affiliate moves your products so quickly, it would make good business sense to allow your top sellers to have first crack at any new products you begin to offer. Provide the super affiliate with advance information about a new product offering, and allow him or her to sell the product ahead of the pack.

Even as little as a two week head start before you announce the product to your entire affiliate network could really jumpstart the sales and reap big rewards for you and your super affiliate.

Super affiliates are those with experience promoting and selling many products

By jdmunoz On December 7, 2008 No Comments

To increase your online profits, it’s important to reach more of your target market with your product offers.  Having many affiliates promoting your product offers is a good way to increase your profits, but not all affiliates are considered equal in terms of their ability to effectively promote your product offers to the people they market them to.  Preferably, you really want to increase the number of super affiliates in your sales force in order to see a substantial rise in your profits.

Super affiliates are those affiliates who have a good deal of experience promoting and selling many products for many different marketers, with great success in making many sales.  As a result, super affiliates make sizable profits for both themselves and the owners of the products they are marketing.  This results in more marketers wanting those super affiliates to join their affiliate ranks so that they can boost the number of sales of their products, and thereby, their profits.

While there are some affiliates who become super affiliates almost overnight, most of them have built their way up from being a regular affiliate who makes a few sales here and there into an affiliate who almost always generates a lot of sales from just sending out some emails to his/her list(s) and recommends your product.  This is because these affiliates have learned what it takes to succeed at affiliate marketing through trial and error, as well as learning and applying what other super affiliates are doing to achieve their successful marketing results and profits.
