To Succeed in Online Business, You Need Many Elements

By jdmunoz On December 11, 2008 No Comments

Differences Between Targeted And Untargeted Traffic

To succeed in online business, you need many elements:

-    Domain Name
-    Dedicated Web Hosting
-    Reliable Autoresponders
-    A Consistent Flow Of Traffic
-    Convincing Sales Copy
-    Etc.

Regarding the traffic element mentioned above, this is critically important to your online success.  Without traffic coming to your website, it won’t matter if you have any or all of the other elements, as no one will know about your website and learn of your product offer.

However, there is a specific type of traffic that will greatly increase your chances at online success, and that type of traffic is known as “targeted traffic.”

Targeted traffic is where the traffic that comes to your web page is interested in your product offer from the moment he/she arrives at your web page.  Conversely, “untargeted traffic” is where the traffic that comes to your web page is not interested in your product offer from the time he/she arrives at your web page.

Naturally, it will be much easier to convert targeted traffic into buyers than it would converting untargeted traffic into buyers.  Targeted traffic will have an initial interest in a product or service you are offering; they may even have come to your website because they were specifically looking for something similar to what you are offering.

Untargeted traffic will likely have just stumbled onto your website by accident, perhaps confusing your domain name with something else they were looking for or thinking your website would be about something else.  When they get to your web page, they will likely leave just as quickly because the subject matter you are dealing with does not interest them.

Boost your Back-end Profits even More

By jdmunoz On December 9, 2008 1 Comment

To really succeed at back-end marketing, you need to be able to present quality offers that are similar to the offers you’ve made in the past to customers who’ve purchased those past offers.

They need to be similar in terms of the topic or niche that your previous offer applied to, as well as provide comparable value in both the quality and service regarding that previous offer. That is how many of your past customers will quickly purchase your new product offer and be thrilled with it like they were with your past product offer.

They likely won’t be interested in your new product offer if your new product doesn’t offer information on the same or similar topic. For instance, if your last product offer was about Internet marketing, your next product offer can be about copywriting and they’ll likely be very interested, but if your next product offer is about shampooing your dog, chances are, they will likely pass on the offer. Therefore, the new product offer must have similar appeal to your past customers or they won’t consider your new product offer.

If they are thrilled with the quality and value of the new product offer, chances are, they’ll pass on the word to their friends, colleagues, lists, and others, which will boost your reputation and your ability to add new customers to your lists, who you then can promote future offers to in the future, and thereby, boost your back-end profits even more.

Super affiliates are those with experience promoting and selling many products

By jdmunoz On December 7, 2008 No Comments

To increase your online profits, it’s important to reach more of your target market with your product offers.  Having many affiliates promoting your product offers is a good way to increase your profits, but not all affiliates are considered equal in terms of their ability to effectively promote your product offers to the people they market them to.  Preferably, you really want to increase the number of super affiliates in your sales force in order to see a substantial rise in your profits.

Super affiliates are those affiliates who have a good deal of experience promoting and selling many products for many different marketers, with great success in making many sales.  As a result, super affiliates make sizable profits for both themselves and the owners of the products they are marketing.  This results in more marketers wanting those super affiliates to join their affiliate ranks so that they can boost the number of sales of their products, and thereby, their profits.

While there are some affiliates who become super affiliates almost overnight, most of them have built their way up from being a regular affiliate who makes a few sales here and there into an affiliate who almost always generates a lot of sales from just sending out some emails to his/her list(s) and recommends your product.  This is because these affiliates have learned what it takes to succeed at affiliate marketing through trial and error, as well as learning and applying what other super affiliates are doing to achieve their successful marketing results and profits.
